Our Favorite Fall Books

Hi Mommas,

We are big readers in our house and frequent the local library weekly. One of my favorite things is refreshing Evelyn’s bookshelf in her room with new books every two weeks. I wanted to share with you our list of classic fall & autumn themed book favorites for the toddler, preschool and kindergarten aged child.

I’m linking all the books below with an Amazon affiliate link, I’ve also made an amazon list for easy shopping with all the books titled “Autumn Books for Kids Aged 3-5“. However, you should be able to get most/all of these books from your local library. Additionally, my new favorite thing is submitting book purchasing requests to our local library for books that they don’t currently have. I’ve had almost the books I’ve requested purchased!

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Big Umbrella: Evergreen but the rain makes me think of fall or spring. Book is about inclusion, all are welcome. I Walk With Vanessa: A girl notices the “new girl” at school not having friends and a boy being mean to her. She thinks about how she can help, and makes a point to walk with Vanessa to school the next day and include her in her friend group. “A Little Bit Brave” a tale of two bunnies – one adventurous and brave, and one who is timid and prefers to stay home. The shy bunny attempts to be brave and leave his home, he is faced with new scenarios where he needs to be brave.

FICTION

The Cat Cuddles: This book applies year round. It’s about a grumpy cat that decided he does want cuddles. We always laugh reading this! Find a Pumpkin: Cute and Silly. We love the Duck & Goose series!
The Little Kitten: I love the illustrations. Cute little story. “You’re My Little Pumpkin Pie: Sweet book for littles. The Leaf Thief: the squirrel thinks someone is stealing his leaves. We love to laugh while reading this book.
