Postpartum Work Wardrobe & Giveaway!

January 15, 2018

Hi Mom Bosses,

Worry #1 when going back to work was how I would cope being away from my baby, Worry #2 was, what the heck am I going to wear?! After four months of leisure wear I had to dig deep in my closet for my blazers and work outfits to see what would even fit. I was able to find three pairs of pants that fit and a few maternity/nursing blouses that still worked. Even though I’m trying to use what I have, I did want to get a few new things that would make me feel comfortable and confident when headed back to work. In an attempt to have a minimalist capsule wardrobe I bought some key pieces that I think i’ll get a lot of use out of. I spent more money on these items than I normally spend but bought way less and am hoping to be able to wear these over and over again.

Silk Everlane Boxy Button Up

Looks polished, smart & sooooo forgiving. Just try to avoid getting pen on it within the first hour of wearing it… welp.

Everlane Sleeveless Button Up

Same as above – Looks polished, smart and forgiving.

Wrap Shirt – I have a maroon wrap shirt from Gap Maternity that was a hand-me-down. It doesn’t look like they sell it anymore but I found this one that’s similar from Ingrid & Isabel and also this one from Serephine in cream. It makes pumping easy.

Brass Clothing, The Ponte Pant

Dressy black pants with a high waist and elastic band?! Yes, please! Thick and soft material, looks like black slacks, feels like supportive, shaping leggings. Win-Win!

LOFT, Tie Neck Dress

Anything with a defined waist is not my friend at the moment. It just accentuates how big my hips have gotten. This dress is flowy, flattering and looks super sharp with a black blazer. This isn’t nursing/pumping friendly but it’s easy to slip on & off.

Everlane, The Day Heel

More than I would usually spend on a shoe but they you can dress them up or down and they go with every single outfit. I’m currently wearing three different shoes on rotation and this is one of them.

Belly Bandit, Mother Tucker Nursing Top

Ya’ll know I love this nursing & pumping friendly control top.

Let me know your favorite postpartum / nursing friendly pieces as i’m always on the prowl!

Lastly, I have a super exciting giveaway right now on my IG page. True&Co sent me some of their bras & underwear and they are soooo soft! I am loving this nursing friendly lounge bra and it’s my favorite thing to put on after work. They sent me an extra pair to giveaway so i’m thrilled to be able to share a set with a fellow momma or momma-to-be! The bra retails for $66 and the panties for $18 so i’m excited to be able to give them away and give one of you ladies a special treat! I know all my budget goes to Evelyn now and I don’t really get to splurge on myself anymore! So go check out my IG page to see how you can win!

Did I take these photos in Evelyn’s crib because it’s the only area of my house that isn’t covered in clutter? You Betcha!

Xo,

M
